I’d like to offer you my service as a Practice Building Coach. I usually do this by telephone, with
e-mails and/or faxes interspersed. Sessions are normally one half hour, and e-mails and/or faxes are normally one quarter hour. Fee is $60
per quarter hour (minimum session) or $40 per quarter hour for GPCCA members. You will be amazed at how much we can get done in just a quarter hour!
First, let me tell you my philosophy. I’ve taken lots of marketing courses and learned a lot from the gurus. However, most of what they teach does not apply to the the healthcare professions. This is because we have a unique clientele, with a unique service. I have found through trial and error that potential clients/patients
do not respond well to traditional types of marketing. Therapists and
medical providers as well, often have an aversion to traditional marketing techniques.

I do not believe in selling or advertising - I believe in “promoting.” I believe promoting is educating. I
believe in “tell, don’t sell.” I believe that in order for clients/patients to employ us, they need to feel a “connection” to us. We cannot push, sell, or cajole people into treatment. We need to “magnetically attract” them to us. We need to build a trusting relationship with them. We need to honor them and show them they (and their words) will be safe with us. I believe in a “pull” rather than “push” style of promoting.
If promoting is more like a magnetic attraction, how do we find the kind of clients/patients
we are looking for in order to attract them to us?
There are three main KEYS:
The first key is to determine WHO your “ideal client” is, WHAT they do with their time,
WHAT they want/need, and WHERE they live or work. I assist you with creating your “Target Client Worksheet.”Then I show you how to reach these potential clients.
The second key is knowing who YOU are, what you have to offer that
is UNIQUE, and how to COMMUNICATE that to people PERSONALLY. I can help you determine which promotional ideas are best suited to YOUR personality and that you feel comfortable with. You need to promote yourself and your services with confident enthusiasm!
The third key is CONNECTING your unique service with those people who would benefit most from it. I believe that
WHO YOU ARE is more important than WHAT YOU DO. People need to know you, feel a connection to you, join with you, trust
you. There are many ways to do this – even before you have ever met the client/patient face to face.
I also can save you hundreds (or thousands) of dollars by advising you to NOT DO WHAT DOESN’T WORK. You need
to get the most leverage possible out of every single promotional dollar you spend. I’ll show you the most cost effective strategies. I’ll warn you about the pitfalls and rip-offs.I will caution you to not waste your money.
I want you to promote yourself and your services! This way you can help a lot more people!You’re a good
provider. It’s okay to want to help people and make money too! There needs to be a “fair exchange” with your professional services and
